EvoBind
In-silico directed evolution of cyclic and linear peptide binders with AlphaFold.
Patrick Bryant (Stockholm University / SciLifeLab)
What it does
Evolves a peptide binder against a target without needing a known binding site. Input: target sequence/structure and optional target residues; output: optimised peptide (including macrocyclic) sequences with AlphaFold-predicted complexes, by iterative mutation under an AlphaFold-based objective.
Commercial use
UnverifiedLicence as writtenunverified - no LICENSE file published in the repository
Checked via the GitHub licence API and the repository root on the date shown: the repo publishes no LICENSE file and the README states no terms, so by default no rights are granted and the position is unverified. It also runs AlphaFold2 parameters (CC BY 4.0) underneath, which are themselves fine for commercial use.
We could not find a published statement that settles it (often: the model weights carry no licence). Treat as unknown.
Is commercial use free of charge?
Cost unverifiedNo fee is charged for the code, but with no licence published there is no stated right to use it commercially at any price.
Price and rights are separate: this panel is about money, the panel above is about permission.
When to use it
Interesting for peptide and macrocycle binders where you have no structural starting point. Treat the missing licence as a blocker for commercial use until the author states terms - ask him; it is usually a one-line answer.
